About the release
Сказки is Yarveya’s third release, following the albums Once and Silver Century. The three songs share images of a road, dawn, searching and departure, yet speak about contemporary adult life rather than a fantasy world: choice, separation and moving forward.
The release is framed by one line: “We grow up with fairy tales, but roads, crossroads, dawns and searches do not disappear. They simply become life.” Russian song inflection meets contemporary electronics, large drums and the two voices of Yar and Veya.
Three stories
Дороженька is the focus track and a song about a path that emerges from the steps a person takes. Не буди меня, заря unfolds during the final night before a separation. Не ищи меня closes the release with a person who leaves not because he is lost, but because he has chosen his direction.
Tracklist
1. Дороженька. 2. Не буди меня, заря. 3. Не ищи меня. Yar and Veya perform all three songs.
